With over 30 years of experience in the production of flexible polyurethane foams, Flex2000 expanded its portfolio with the introduction of pocket springs, Pockee. This strategic decision allows us to complement our offering, providing our customers with complete solutions that combine the best of foam with the excellence of pocket springs. Our Story
We began writing our story over 40 years ago
The 70's
M.A.P
Manuel Armando Pereira, the founder of Flex2000, took his first steps in the business world by creating "Sofios," a company specialising in yarns. This initial success evolved into other ventures over time.
The 80's
The Beginning of Foams

With the arrival of many Portuguese from the former colonies in the late 1970s and early 1980s, the comfort market grew significantly. Anticipating the needs of this new audience, Manuel Armando Pereira founded his first foam production unit in Esmoriz, ensuring comfort for all.
1998
16th July 1998
The Fire
A devastating fire destroyed the company’s facilities, but the adversity led to the creation of a new operation, dedicated exclusively to the production of polyurethane foams.

Flex2000
"Flex2000" was officially born, with operations starting in Ovar a year later.

Start of Construction
The construction of the new industrial unit began, marking a new phase of growth.

Laboratories
Construction and enhancement of new laboratories at our facility: chemical, physical, R&D, combustibility, and sleep laboratories.

The construction of the new pocket spring factory, Pockee, began, promising to revolutionise the market.

First Step
After a year of hard work and adjustments, Pockee made its first sale of carcasses, solidifying its position in the market as a complete supplier across all aspects.
